It feels like I just sat down to write April’s Life Lately, this year is just flying by! In April I was boughed down with a ton of work, which is good, not complaining but I didn’t get to do a lot. So far in May I’ve had a good break from it all, but I am working this weekend, and I have a very busy two weeks coming up. I am VERY excited about the projects that I am working on, and I hope to share my projects very soon. I can’t share what I’m working on right now because the final product needs to be announced by my clients first, as it should be, then I will be over the moon to share with all of you.
February just flew by! I can’t believe it’s March already, but I think Oregon hasn’t gotten the memo yet. I woke up this morning to snow. I like snow, but I’m ready for Spring, mostly because I want to wear flip flops again! This is going to be a bit of a long post, a lot happened in the last month! So grab a cup of coffee and let’s get started!
Inside jokes are probably my favorite thing about friends. It’s a way you can easily share a memory the binds you together, and keeps the mood light and happy. Through out the years my friends and I have had many inside jokes, but not so many ones that are geeky, at least not that I can remember. I’m not going to explain, or give context that kinda defeats the purpose. These are the only three I can think of:
I actually got a lot of reading done in July! I thought I was maybe going to get through one book, when I really got through two! Yay! In July I read The Magicians with my friends Bree & Ann, and This Savage Song. In June I read Starflight (which was also an Iggle Bookworms pick) and Four. These are my thoughts…
I have a TV, but I don’t have cable anymore. I haven’t for about 2 years now, and not that I really miss all the commercials, and flipping through channels. I do however hate having to wait until the next day to see whatever show I wanted to see. In the meantime though there is Netflix to comfort me. They are doing some really great stuff over there! Bringing things like Dare Devil, Jessica Jones, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and most recently Stranger Things.
Stranger Things was released on July 15, 2015. It is a “TV” series in the horror, drama, mystery genera that takes place in the 80’s. They really captured the feel of the old TV shows and Movies really well, typically I don’t like older TV shows & movies, I’m not really sure why that is, it’s just kinda cringy for me. However this got a hold of my attention and wouldn’t let go. The basic premise they start with is that a boy is on his way from a friends house and he mysteriously goes missing, then his family, friends, and local police set out to find him. On their quest they are met with horrifying terrors that make them question their reality.
Has anyone else heard that dear little Draco Malfoy is joining the cast of The Flash? Tom Felton who played Draco Malfoy throughout the Harry Potter movies was announced earlier this summer that he would be joining the cast of The Flash as Julian Dorn, as something of a healthy rival to Berry Allen.
I have always loved tattoos, but I have none. Mostly because a) don’t have money for them and b) I’m stupid lazy and I am unwilling to put the time in to find a fantastic artist who would make my dreams into ink. So this week’s 5 Fandom Friday is all about geeky tattoos I would want, and who knows I might even end up with one (or more) of them someday.
Happy First Friday in March!!
This weeks prompt was to make up one that you missed. Well I’ve only been doing these since I think mid January of this year so I have a lot to choose from. I did find it appropriate however to pick the prompt from last year’s first week in march; 5 Fictional Boyfriends, so here are the characters I fell for over the years.
One of my favorite treats are muffins with decorative sweet fluff on top. (Or more commonly known as cupcakes!) I love cupcakes! They are delicious, the perfect size, and super cute! I have a friend who doesn’t like cake, or cupcakes. I think something is seriously wrong with him, he also dislikes pie. Who is like that??? (Sorry if cake or pie are not your jam).
Soooooo I don’t typically think about OTP’s. Like I don’t care. Yes I fan girl, no I don’t linger on fictional characters that long. I’m the same way with celebrities, I just don’t care that much. SO this prompt was an exercise for me. I learned two things, 1) I consume more media then I would like to admit, 2) I love individual characters more than I love couples. However I did manage to create a list! Yay me, haha.
