Hand Me That Glass Slipper

This month’s book pick in the IGGPPC Bookworms GoodReads group was Geekerella, by Ashley Poston. I read this book in basically a day, it was that good! Geekerella is a new spin on a classic story we all know and love, Cinderella. The classic Cinderella story is on of my favorite children’s tales, and was one of my favorite movies growing up. Since then there have been neurmous takes on the story, in print and in film, but Geekerealla is different and has a truly unique take on story and characters.

Life Lately: May

It feels like I just sat down to write April’s Life Lately, this year is just flying by! In April I was boughed down with a ton of work, which is good, not complaining but I didn’t get to do a lot. So far in May I’ve had a good break from it all, but I am working this weekend, and I have a very busy two weeks coming up. I am VERY excited about the projects that I am working on, and I hope to share my projects very soon. I can’t share what I’m working on right now because the final product needs to be announced by my clients first, as it should be, then I will be over the moon to share with all of you.

Who Said Anything About A Sidekick?

So maybe a droid isn’t a sidekick, or maybe they are? I guess it depends on the role they play. As you can probably tell this weeks theme is droids! I loosely interpreted Droid to include all robots and AI. This post also made me  realize I don’t read much sci-fi cause I couldn’t think of a book other than Hitchhikers Guide that had a robot/AI in it.

I’m personally looking forward to the day we have AI and Droids to help with daily tasks. Until then we have all these cool droids and AI’s to dream about:

Life Lately: February

Happy February! February is one of my favorite months, mostly because of valentines day, but also because where I lives tends to start getting warmer in February and it even gets to where I can almost break out the flip flops. I’ve never done a life lately, so I thought why not give it a go!? I’ve been pretty busy with work recently, there are a lot of changes that I’m having to prepare for, for the next harvest. But I’ve also been taking “work hard, play hard” seriously and been giving myself lots of me time.

Book of the Month: A Court of Thorns and Roses

844a50259434947262b2aba9993c8463

New year means new books to read! This year I’ve already read three and I’m making my way through the fourth. By the end of January I hope to have five books read. Last year my good reads challenge was to read 40 books, I met that and beat it, ending with 45 books read total. So this year I am hoping to read 50. I feel like it’s a lot, but that is also how I felt when I set the goal of 45 books last year.

September, Fall, & New Things!

I can’t believe it’s fall already, or even September! Where did summer go?! With harvest on the farm things were just a blur of being busy. But now that harvest is over I can get back to the important things like video games, and blogging!

Harvest got over earlier this year I actually got to go to the state fair. Which was amazing, and super fun! I hadn’t been in a few years, just because we do harvest blackberries, and they tend to spill over into September for harvesting. However for this year everything was 2 weeks early.

#ReadThemAllThon Revenge Of The Witch Review

I’ve finished my first book for the #ReadThemAllThon! Revenge of the Witch was a really quick read for me, and about half way through it dawned on me that the story sounded so familiar because I had seen the movie. I didn’t care for the movie much, but it was alright. Which is what this book was.

Books I’ve been Reading: June & July

I actually got a lot of reading done in July! I thought I was maybe going to get through one book, when I really got through two! Yay! In July I read The Magicians with my friends Bree & Ann, and This Savage Song. In June I read Starflight (which was also an Iggle Bookworms pick) and Four. These are my thoughts…
