Last month I did flip-gram thing for a flip through of March’s journal insert (I skipped showing anyone April, lol-it was a bit of a hot mess). So this month I have started a YouTube channel which means…drumroll please…I’ll be doing a proper flip through of my journal inserts from now on!
Life Lately: June 2017
Hey friends! I can’t believe we are already in the middle of June! So let’s jump right into it!
My First Plan With Me!
I had so much fun filming my very first Plan With Me! I loved planning with one of my favorite shop’s (Boulderbon) kit. She has amazingly affordable stickers & kits, not to mention her Monthly Sticker Bundle.
Be sure to watch all the way to the end for a flip through of the kit I’m giving away, then head on over to my instagram for the details of the giveaway.
My First YouTube Video!!
GAAAAA! I made a thing you guys! On Tuesday I received the Erin Condren Summer Seasonal Surprise Box and I was so excited that I recorded my unboxing of it! I’ve been wanting to start a YouTube channel for planning, journaling, gaming, etc. for a while now, but I’m really nervous about it. I made myself a promise earlier this year, to push myself outside of my comfort zone. So I did it. I stopped over thinking, and I had fun, and made a thing! I’m really proud of my first go, and hope to improve and get more comfortable as make more videos.
PWM Group Swap: May
I’m a member of a truly fantastic group on Facebook called Planners With Manners. It was started by some lovely ladies that were tired of negativity in other groups they belonged to, and decided it was time for a place of uplifting and positivity. The group is a place I love checking in on daily and seeing amazing pictures of other’s planners, and sharing recommendations, and cheering each other on.
One of the girls volunteered to host a monthly swap of planner goodies. If you’ve done a swap before it’s basically the same thing as anywhere else. You fill out a form, leaving your name, address, comments, etc. and then you are matched with an amazing human who has the same interest as you and you swap some goodies. The guideline was 8 to 10 items I believe, I think we both went over that for this one.
I got an amazing partner who started planning around the same time as me. Which I thought was super exciting. We had a lot in common when it came to our styles when planning in traveler’s notebooks, so it made gathering up goodies all the more fun.
I feel so spoiled with what she sent me. I love it all!! In fact I’ve bits from almost all of it, except for the string, which I plan on making a tassel out of. I’m so thankful for this swap, which has lead to meeting such an amazing planner friend. This was the perfect way to start off the swap, and I’m really looking forward to next month’s swap and meeting even more planner friends!
Hand Me That Glass Slipper
This month’s book pick in the IGGPPC Bookworms GoodReads group was Geekerella, by Ashley Poston. I read this book in basically a day, it was that good! Geekerella is a new spin on a classic story we all know and love, Cinderella. The classic Cinderella story is on of my favorite children’s tales, and was one of my favorite movies growing up. Since then there have been neurmous takes on the story, in print and in film, but Geekerealla is different and has a truly unique take on story and characters.
Geekery of the Month: What. The. FLOCK!?!
Life Lately: May
It feels like I just sat down to write April’s Life Lately, this year is just flying by! In April I was boughed down with a ton of work, which is good, not complaining but I didn’t get to do a lot. So far in May I’ve had a good break from it all, but I am working this weekend, and I have a very busy two weeks coming up. I am VERY excited about the projects that I am working on, and I hope to share my projects very soon. I can’t share what I’m working on right now because the final product needs to be announced by my clients first, as it should be, then I will be over the moon to share with all of you.
Flamingo TN Bundle Review
You guys know how much I love my travler’s notebook, well in February The 1407 Planners had a presale for a collaboration kit with Scooterbug Cornor. The kit’s theme was flamingos and I thought it would be perfect for summer. At that time I was still really new to Travler’s Notebooks and was still wondering about what size would be good for me. I did have my first Foxy in size 1 (also considered a Passport size), this kit came as what is considered to be a Pocket size (Foxy size 2 -I believe), lucky for me I love it just as much as I love the Passport size!
Spring Sweet Progress Box Swap
It’s time for another Swap Box! I love doing the seasonal Sweet Progress swap that is hosted by Ashley from Happy Pretty Sweet and Dean from Mrs. AOK, A Work In Progress. I love doing this swap because I always meet such amazing ladies, with fantastic blogs. Normally I see the post to sign up, but April was a crazy hot mess for me and I wasn’t on social media nearly as often as I normally am. I am so glad Ashley reached out to me for the swap!
