This weeks 5 Fandom Friday is the topic of movies coming out this year. Holy cow there are so many! We’re getting a bunch of super hero movies, there is another Star Wars movie, some horror movies that look really good. I think it’s going to be a great year for movies! Here are 5 that I’m really looking forward to!
Releasing March 17, 2017. Disney is at it again! Re-imaging their iconic classic Beauty & The Beast in a live action film staring the lovely Emma Watson as Bell (who could be better?) and Dan Stevens who has also been on Downton Abbey. I have been so excited to see this movie ever since it was announced Emma would be playing Bell.
Releasing July 28, 2017. I love Thor’s movies and this one is going to have Dr. Strange played by Benedict Cumberbatch, what would be better. Let me just throw all my money at Marvel right now, because I’m so ready to see more of Dr. Strange. Side note: I think its super great that both Sherlock and Watson are now in the Marvel Universe, just saying they are both great actors and they have this happy little spot in my heart. 🙂
Releases June 2, 2017. I have no illusions about this movie, it’s DC, not Marvel it’s going to be a mixed bag. However, this is a FEMALE SUPER HERO MOVIE. Something we NEED more of. I’m really tired of seeing male super heroes, like it’s time for the women empowerment, and I hope DC does a good job. From the trailers and movie posters this looks like it’s going to be a good movie. I loved Wonder Woman in Batman vs. Superman, for me she stole the movie whenever she was on screen.
Releases June 30, 2017. Minions. I’m here for the minions, haha. Also the fluffy unicorns. I didn’t know this was coming out until recently so it was a nice surprise that I’m looking forward too. I can’t wait to see where adventures take all the beloved characters to this time.
Releases May 5, 2017. The most unexpected movie to grace us from Marvel Studios is back with a fantastic new movie. This is the movie I’m most looking forward to out of all the movies coming out this year (mostly because of baby Groot, lol) and yes I’m more excited for this movie than the next Star Wars (sorry!).
