It’s beginning to look a lot like…my birthday!

December is still rolling a long, and while it is the holiday season, it’s also my birthday month! My birthday is actually on Christmas! Which has made the holidays even more eventful.

In my family I’m an only child, and the youngest cousin. So growing up my mom made sure everyone gave me two presents- one for Christmas, and one for my birthday. We also would open Christmas presents on Christmas eve, Santa right when I woke up in the morning, and birthday presents would be at 10:30 am (the actual time I was born). So it wasn’t really a “curse” having to share my birthday with a holiday.
When I was about 11 or 12 I started celebrating my half birthday too,  every year I would make cupcakes, or get dough nuts and just have a little reminder for another special day. Well my boyfriend thought this was a fantastic idea and now gets me a present on that day as well. (He’s a keeper if you couldn’t tell! 😉 ) So I’m very lucky to have a family that likes to shower me with love, that’s really all I could ever ask for.
While I deeply appreshiate my friends and family for the cards, presents, cake, time they spend with me to celebrate I also like to celebrate and treat myself. So I thought I would share some of the items I’m considering getting myself this year!

  1. Hello, Happy Upcoming Birthday! My Dad’s was on the 19th, so I know about families making it special during all the hustle and bustle of Christmas. Sorry I missed your half birthday…hey, I want one of those!
