~Sweet Treats~March BoxyCharm

It’s that time of the month again for Boxy Charm. I was really disappointed in this months box. First off they tried something new. In every box you get a card, on one side it tells you the theme for the month on the other it tells you what products were included. Well I guess not enough people are using the Boxy Charm website because in order to learn about the product you now have to go to their website. I guess I don’t care, but I would rather have the information on the card.

Let’s get right into the products!

I went to their site because I wanted to know the values of everything so I could make this post. But what I found was actually quite interesting, I knew there was a slight variety that went into the boxes but this month everyone was guaranteed Makeup Geek Shimmer Shadow, Eye Shadow, and or a matte shadow (2 out of the 3). Besides those everyone got another 4 products, and there were 7 others total. I found this very interesting.

These Shimmer shadows have a creamy texture and glide on evenly. They are highly pigmented to provide you with a stunning finish. “

I would not pay $6 for these. They are so small, and messy, and how am I suppose to keep them nice? Plus I think I would loose them. Why can’t we have normal full size eye shadows? They did this last month as well with the “pan” idea and I’m really not a fan. That being said I did really like the colors I got. They go with my eyes (which are a warm brown), and I think these would go with a good amount of peoples eyes. Just not a fan of packaging.

IMG_7582Catherine Malandrino Style De Paris Perfume | $20.00

Made with notes of ruby red grapefruit and nashi pear, with blends of orange blossom and gardenia; Style De Paris is a chic scent that is the epitome of spring. Elegant mid notes of violet and ocean breeze will leave the ultimate impression. “

If you’ve read any of my other posts that involve perfumes you know I’m not a huge fan of them. But this one smells very light and floral. No hit of granny which is very nice to get. I’ll still be passing this on to someone who can appreciate it more than me.

IMG_7584Mistura Retractable Brush | $15.32

The ultra-soft synthetic-hair bristles pop out from the handle and wash the cheeks with your favorite blush! Avoid potential allergic reactions to animal fur and get gorgeous while on the go with this travel-friendly, cruelty-free must-have!

I’m not impressed with this brush. I’ve gotten better ones, and it’s not soft at all to me. But it does make for a good traveling brush because I hate taking my super nice brushes with me and then lose them. It makes me so sad when that happens. So I’ll be taking this with me when I travel.

IMG_7586 Clark’s Botanicals Anti-Puff Cream | $87.00

This cream targets fine lines, dark circles and puffiness with a high concentration of vitamins and botanicals. Your skin will feel bright, soft and smooth.

I’ve never tried this brand before and typically I don’t use eye creams or anything. But in the summer when I’m working stupid long hours because of harvest on the farm I know this will help me look not so dead (this and tons of coffee!) So I’m excited to have this for when I need it.

IMG_7581Chella Tantalizing Taupe Eyebrow Pencil | $18.00

This fine-tipped mechanical pencil is European designed with a creamy texture for easy application and a flawless, natural look.

I love Chella products and I haven’t tried this product before, so I’m excited to try something new.

This months box wasn’t the best. I think out of all the Boxycharms I’ve gotten this is near the bottom of them. And that’s going to happen sometimes. The over all box value is $152.32 so it’s totally worth $21.00 per month.

If you would like to check out Boxycharm for yourself you can do so here. Did you get this months box? Did you get different product than me? I would love to know your thoughts!
